EDA IS THE UAE’S INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF THE REEF (IYOR) 2008 FOCAL POINT  

EDA has signed up as the key point of contact for the celebration of IYOR 2008 in the UAE. 

This was made possible through EDA’s partnership with the International Coral Reef Action Network (ICRAN), a United Nations Foundation-funded global network working to halt and reverse the decline of the health of the worlds’coral reefs.

 An EDA delegation composed of Environmental Advisor Ibrahim Al-Zu’bi, Coral Reef Awareness & Monitoring Project (CRAMP) Advisor Ernst Van Der Poll and IYOR Project Manager Leena Al Abbas recently visited the ICRAN in Cambridge, UK to discuss potential synergies and obtain information and materials to ensure the success of IYOR activities in the UAE.
