It is a voracious predator, consuming other Nudibranchs species. They have elongated cerata on their dorsal. The cerata contain lobes of the digestive gland with special sacs at their tips (cnidosacs) to store the stinging cells ingested from their prey in an undischarged state. They may feed on bryozoans, barnacles, and coelenterates such as hydroids, sea anemones, soft and hard corals, as well as the spawn of other Nudibranchs and fishes.
