And that’s a wrap! We held our final underwater clean-up of 2025 on Saturday the 6th of December making it our 9th event – concluding, we removed a total of 1,911.026kg this year!
We had such a fun morning yesterday for our second underwater clean-up with @dmarinmiddleeast at Port de La Mer! Last year, we collected 565.2kg at this location with most of the items being from construction. This year we are still pulling up a lot of construction materials, but it is also a lot of everyday materials we are not responsibly disposing of that are still ending up in our waters. We clearly still have a lot of work to do.
We thank all our members who took part (35 divers out of the 42 registered took part, and 8 surface supporters), @diversdownuae, our strategic partner @dpworlduae, and our event partners, D-Marin and their support staff, and @imdaadofficial for another very eventful clean-up.
Our divers successfully collected 194.4kg of underwater waste in the hour allocated!
A big shout out also goes to the @dubai.voluntary.diving team for the incredible support they always provide to the community.
