We had such a fun morning with everyone for the first Cleanup Arabia dive clean-up of 2026 on the 10th of January at Dubai Harbour!
Well done to all our divers for successfully bringing up 429.4kg of waste in the allocated one hour dive time. Sadly, plastic bottles (356), plastic cups (144), and plastic bags (131) are still in high numbers. Most unusual find on this clean-up was a toilet, a satellite dish, a traffic cone, a supermarket trolley and 3 folding trolleys. There were 7 mobile phones collected in total!
We want to thank our partner, @dubaiharbour for hosting this event in their marina and for their team’s support, @imdaadofficial our waste management partner for collecting and properly disposing of all the rubbish, @dubai.voluntary.diving for the extra support with logistics, and to our Strategic Partner @dpworlduae who enable us to hold all of these events throughout the year. We had 37 divers taking part, and 7 EDA and 19 Dubai Harbour surface supporters. Well done teams!
