A big shout out to our younger members for participating in the first Youth Programme Beach Clean-up to mark the occasion of Earth Day 2024!
They collected 8kg of rubbish in total near Mercato Beach and 1,414 cigarette butts to go to @goumbook’s ‘Save the Butts – Waste to Value’ programme which adopts a Circular Economy approach to environmental pollution, by recycling cigarette butts into valuable manufacturing material.
A job well done to Isaac Al-Zu’bi, Sultan Abdulla Alblooshi, Mahmoud Abbasi, Gayatri Sri Samhita, Chanakya Sri Samardh, and Hasher Hassan Aljasmi.
